The immediate deletion API for Sakura Cloud KMS keys stops working

Sakura Cloud KMS keys can no longer be deleted immediately via API, as key deletion is unified to the scheduled deletion API.

Required action

Users of the KMS key immediate deletion API must migrate to the scheduled deletion API by November 19, 2026, and update Terraform if deleting KMS keys via SDKs or similar tools.

Changes

  • The target endpoint for abolition is the DELETE method endpoint /kms/keys/{resource_id} (deleteKey).
  • Executing the immediate deletion API after abolition results in an error.
  • A Terraform update for environments using SDKs or similar tools is scheduled for release by November 19, 2026.
