You can now send traces and logs via OTLP/HTTP JSON, and agent proxy handling changed

Mackerel now accepts traces and logs in OTLP/HTTP JSON format, and mackerel-agent can bypass proxies by ignoring environment variables.

Required action

If you set https_proxy to direct and rely on proxy environment variables, configure the proxy server URL in https_proxy before updating mackerel-agent.

Changes

  • You can now send traces and logs directly to Mackerel by specifying http/json as the protocol.
  • Specifying direct for http_proxy or https_proxy in mackerel-agent v0.87.1 or later ignores proxy environment variables.
  • Specifying -u kb in check-disk now correctly monitors thresholds in KB units in mackerel-check-plugins v0.53.0 or later.
  • Specifying on_stop in host_status now reliably changes to the specified status in mackerel-agent v0.87.1 or later.
  • A beta logs feature is now available on status page components.
