Change to handling of "?" in LIFF URL query parameter values in the LIFF browser

From LIFF v2.31.2, the LIFF browser is scheduled to keep "?" in query parameter values instead of replacing it with "&" upon redirect.

Required action

If your LIFF app depends on the previous behavior, implement it so that it handles both the old and new behaviors properly.

Changes

  • The target version was changed from LIFF v2.31.1 or later to LIFF v2.31.2 or later, scheduled for release on October 7, 2026
  • The change applies only when opening a LIFF app in the LIFF browser, with no change in behavior in external browsers
  • When accessing a LIFF URL containing percent-encoded "%3F" from outside the LINE app on iOS, the secondary redirect URL value becomes "?" instead of "&"
  • Behavior remains unchanged when accessing a LIFF URL containing "%3F" from the LINE app on iOS or from an Android device
